"Baby Lucas is finally here!! He was born today Aug 15, 2010 @ 3:21 pm CT. Healthy 8 pounds 8 oz with 21 inches. Both, mother and baby are good!! Pass the word! Congrats to all family and friends!"

Luz has been keeping us uprised of her situation, the fun and pain of pregnancy, her fun of dealing with 'sub par' hospital staffs and the like-I'm glad she and Lucas have come through this with shining colors!

Just shipped out to Goodfellow AFB for AIT. She's been there 3 days. Graduation was awesome! She actually misses Fort Leonard Wood though.
Military Intel. Signals Analyst. She's part of the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion. Classes start next Wednesday and go for 26 weeks. Then it's on to her permanent duty station....or deployment.

Right now, Sam Lucas is snoozing away in the crook of his daddy's arm and feeling rather content after an extended meal that lasted a half hour while hanging off mommy's chest.
But I must say: uncanny resemblance between the "impostor baby" and Sam Lucas. Especially when it comes to the facial expressions department. Uncanny!
OMG memory flashback...my boy seemed to be attached to me constantly for the first 6 months. I wore him under my shirt everywhere I went.

Congrats and a hearty welcome to the little one.
Small side note and that is if your parents are anything like us then expect the baby to be spoiled in all the best ways they can think of. We even got my oldest grand son a 5 piece drum set when he was 3. Of course this means our sons never get to watch tv or sleep but it's a small price to pay :)

Ours still talk to us but they keep at it about why we didn't buy them the kinds of toys that we buy their kids. We tell them that it was because they still lived with us. Guitars for the girls now 9 and 7 along with books to learn how to play. Then there are the electronic toys which have to be hooked up to the TV. The games are fun but they also teach history and math so our boys can't complain to much. Their kids are straight A students with lots of interests in all subjects now.
she started talking to me again and even started laughing about it later but for a couple of months - she was madder than a wet hen
