Wally had so many strikes against him that it seemed pretty certain that he would never find a home...

He needed a home of his own, with a real cat lover who would be able to cope with his medical issues. Because of his FIV diagnosis and his meek nature, Wally also would do best as an only cat. But what true cat lover doesn't already have a feline or two?
Enter Lee Ann Wierzba.
Nicely done, Lee Ann! Every pet needs somoene to love him or her.

Awww, poor kitty needed someone to love him, I'm glad he found that! He looks just like the stray cat I've been feeding. I wish I could get it tamed so I could take care of it.

Somehow with my 4 dogs, I don't think a cat would fit in. I jhope the one you are feeding gets to the point where he can become a house-kitty for you!

I fear he's been stray too long, it's been months and if he thinks I'm coming toward him, off he goes! But I'll keep trying!

sooner or later he might deign to let you in! :-) Keep trying!

What a sweet story! I love these success stories-- there need to be more of them!
As a rescuer and dog/cat lover, I wish I could hug Lee Ann, and stroke Wally's head. Each and every one of them are special and have so much love to give.

Very true. My daughter stopped at the SPCA yesterday and found herself in the middle of TV cameras and such. Allegations of animal cruelty from former employees. Investigation started.....hopefully it's just sour grapes.
BTW, Happy New Year, Dowser! (((((Dowser)))))

Dear Spikegary, I'm still looking for that recipe! It may take awhile, I have too many cookbooks, and it wasn't in the ones I thought were possibilities...
I hope it is sour grapes, too-- but one never knows...
Much love to you, dear friend. I hope that all is well for you!

All good things take time, Dowser. No hurry! Getting ready to travel for my board meeting tomorrow. BTW, now that we have a budget, I may be able to go back to school for my recert in Nicholasville-likely flying in to Louisville.
